Pet Loss Support Chat


Are you or someone you know grieving the loss of a pet? Maybe the pet is terminally ill? Or, maybe you're an animal care professional who needs support. Why not join us for our weekly pet loss support group? The member-led group moderated by Chance's Spot meets online every Thursday from 9 to 10 P.M. Eastern time. The group will be held as an open forum, there is no membership required, and everyone is welcome. Please join us!

Group Rules and Login

While in group we ask that you respect each other and refrain from strong language and vulgarity. For your safety, we ask that you do not give out personal information while in group. Off-topic dicussions are permitted provided that it does not interfer with the ability of other members to seek and give support. Remember, our primary purpose is to offer each other support.

In order to enter the group, you will need to sign in. You may log in as a Guest (anonymously) or through your social media account by clicking on the Log In button in the lower-left corner of the chat window and will need to have JavaScript activated to do so.

Attend our Pet Loss Education and Support Group

Through education, support, and information, Chance's Spot assists the public in understanding that the grief suffered when a dearly loved pet is lost is a heartfelt example of how genuine the human-animal bond can be. Our local support group is moderated by Chance's Spot founder, Gail Heller, and we are currently looking for a group or veterinary practice to sponsor a location. The group is FREE and open to pet caregivers, veterinarians and staff, or anyone that has lost a pet. Exact dates and directions will be posted when available or if you do not live in the Metro Louisville, Kentucky area, please visit our Pet Loss Hotlines Page for more information or a group near you. If you are unable to find one, please contact us and we'll try and help you.

Email Support

Chance's Spot also offers pet loss support via email. This service is free and all correspondences are answered by Chance's Spot Founder and Certified Pet Loss and Bereavement Counselor, Gail Heller. For more information about this free service, please contact us.
