Kid's Pet Loss Journal, Workbook, Information Sheets, and Pet Coloring Pages
When a pet dies, it can help to try and work through the sadness. One way you can do this is by reading and writing in a journal or workbook. Chance's Spot has the My Awesome Pet Journal and My Pet is Gone Workbook for you to write down all your thoughts and feelings about your pet. Just download and print the pages and ask an adult to help fasten them together.
Sometimes it might also help just to sit down and color. Chance's Spot has several different coloring pages for you to download, print, and color. Then, you can use crayons, markers, or paints to color and decorate your pictures. If you're really artistic, you can color or even draw on them to make them look like you and your pet. Hang your finished picture in your room, in your school locker, or on your refrigerator at your house for everyone to see!
- Coloring Pages:
- My Awesome Pet Journal is for children to write their thoughts about their pet or anything else they want. It's full of cute illustrations and verses but with plenty of room left to write. Pages can be printed and stapled together or put in a three-ring binder.
- My Pet is Gone Workbook is part journal, part workbook. There are places for children to write stories about and draw pictures of their pet. It's meant to help kids feel better about missing their best friend.
- Remembering Your Pet - Ways to Say Goodbye is an information sheet that will give you and your family ideas for saying goodbye to your pet.
