Christmas Traditions

When my dog, Moses, was alive we had an annual ‘Christmas Drive’ tradition. It’s something I tried to do every year with him and found it to be a lot of fun.

Essentially, I would put Moses in the SUV and drive around looking at the Christmas lights and decorations in my neighborhood. The first time I took him, I really didn’t think he would be into actually looking at the lights, but I was wrong. He really seemed to enjoy it. Especially the blinking and moving lights, and the moving lighted deer. I had a blast watching him tilt his head from side-to-side at them. It was too cute.

With Christmas just a few days away, it’s not to late to take a drive through your neighborhood with your pet. Even the days following Christmas most people continue to show off their decorations, so, why not treat yourself and your pet to a Christmas drive? It’s a fun way to enjoy the season, as well as spend a little one on one time together.
